On offer are four late 70's Pro Linear Stage 60 speakers in very good > excellent condition. I'm the second owner and would love to keep them but need to thin the herd ... These would pair GREAT with a vintage receiver/amp. They have a distinctively 70's, warm, rounded tonal characteristic. If you're looking for window-rattlers, note that these are not the modern-style, over-powering low end monsters you are seeking. Vancouver's Pro Linear made some very nice 'not quite audiophile, but affordable and great sounding' products. The Stage 60 was a mid to high-end speaker at the time that fit neatly into this category. - Acoustically in excellent shape. All surrounds are near-perfect and everything functions as it should. The mid/treble pots have been checked and cleaned. There's a tiny bit of scratchiness to some of the pots (expected given the age), but doesn't affect performance or tonal range. - Cosmetically, all cabinets and grill covers are in very good > great condition. The construction is heavy, old-school particle board with vinyl covering and solid wood-trim bases (I've added felt pads to the bottoms). The base trim has been reconditioned with light sanding and tung oil. Given the age there's a few cosmetic blemishes and the price reflects: • Minor scratches and a few small chip areas, mostly present on the top surface of one speaker. These would be repairable using a vinyl grafting technique. I wasn't too bothered by the minor 'character' imperfections and opted to keep them as is. • One of the control plates has some puckering. • One of the grill brand plates is missing. Same grill fabric has an almost imperceptible hole and a nickel-sized spot of fraying/stretching. Ours is a smoke-free home, but the original owner appeared to enjoy his smokes as much as he did his quadrophonic sound. We've cleaned all surfaces a couple times using a mild detergent, but occasionally you can catch a whiff of the decades of Export A's these were subject to. Vintage odour included at no extra cost ;) 24.5"H x 15.5"W x 9"D $200 obo Sorry, will not break the set Available for testing/auditioning More photos available on request If the add is up, they're still available Thanks
