BC SPCA Offleashed Gala – October 5
Offleashed celebrates the joy of animals in our lives, champion the programs that serve people and their animals in our area, and support the BC SPCA’s lifesaving work. Great Canadian Beer Festival – September 6-7
Featuring 75+ Canadian craft breweries from coast to coast, the 30th annual edition of Canada’s oldest beer festival returns September 6-7 celebrating at a new location – Topaz Park! GCBF showcases breweries from every region of Canada, including the Maritimes, Québec, Ontario, Western Canada and the Yukon. Purchase your tickets here.
Ultimate Toy Fair – September 21-22
The Ultimate Toy Fair is great for collectors and families! Vendors with items for sale including action figures, vintage toys, models, trains, comics, Barbie, dolls, bears, LEGO, video games, Star Wars, GI Joe, Transformers, diecast cars, Hot Wheels, vinyl records and more! You never know what you might find!
General Admission – Saturday 9AM to 4PM Sunday 9AM to 3PM Adults $5 per day at the door KIDS 12 & under are FREE! Saturday Early Bird entry for the serious collector at 8am for $15 which includes weekend admission. Westcoast Motorcycle Ride to Live – September 8
The Vancouver Island Westcoast Motorcycle Ride to Live is happening on Sunday, September 8th, 2024. Since 2010, the Ride to Live has brought thousands of riders from across the island together for one common purpose; to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer. Funds raised through this event support the important work of Island Prostate Centre (IPC), the only non-profit that guides and empowers Vancouver Island men and their families as they navigate the uncertainty of a prostate cancer diagnosis.
The Westcoast Motorcycle Ride to Live is a time to celebrate survivors, families, loved ones and remember those we’ve lost. All funds raised stays on Vancouver Island to support men and their families dealing with Prostate Cancer. This year, starting and finishing at Enrico Winery, we are have a goal of raising $50,000! Looking forward to seeing you then!
Camosun Chargers Golf Tournament – September 27
Camosun College Athletics is excited for the third annual Camosun Chargers Golf Tournament taking place on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Highland Pacific Golf Course. This 9-hole shotgun is $550 per foursome (or $150 an individual) and includes green fee, cart, bucket of balls, and BBQ, along with on-course games and pre/post activities.
This is the biggest fundraiser for the athletics department and all proceeds go to the Chargers Development Fund.

Fall Clothing Swap presented by The Bay Centre & Used.ca – October 5
We are excited to announce our next FREE Clothing Swap will be on Saturday, October 5, 2024! Just as the season is changing, this is your chance to refresh your closet with up to 10 new to you fall/winter items. Clothing Swap appointments will be first-come, first serve. Although you do not need to book an appointment to drop off clothes, you will need to be a registered participant in the Clothing Swap prior to donating clothes. Capital Bike Fall Go By Bike Week – September 23 – October 6

Victoria Symphony Best of Broadway – September 21-22
Another Op’nin’, Another Show! Victoria Symphony lights up the Royal Theatre with some of the best and brightest hits of Broadway from The Sound of Music, Les Misérables, My Fair Lady, Phantom of the Opera, and more! Alongside overtures and much-loved medleys from classic shows and contemporary hits, we welcome vocalist Melissa Errico. With her silken voice and dramatic, expressive intensity, the Tony nominee has been featured in My Fair Lady, Camelot, Les Misérables, Amour, etc., and she has also earned accolades as an actress, concert, cabaret, and recording artist.

Ride for Refuge – October 5
Ride for Refuge has chosen Sanctuary Youth Centre as the local charity to host its own in[1]person RIDE or WALK event on Saturday, October 5th. This event raises awareness of the issues facing street youth, and also brings in funds for the Centre to function. This is a family friendly event, open to all ages. Last year 9 teams composed of 76 Riders raised in excess of $45,000. This event will be held at The First Church of the Nazarene at 4277 Quadra Street. Check-in starts at 10am and a light lunch is provided at 12pm. This year, our goal is to raise $55,000. Will you join us? We need you!
