ArtisTREE Festival – July 27-28
ArtisTREE Festival is a two day arts festival taking place at historic Government House located on the traditional territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations. Featuring up to 150 juried artisan booths to both shop at and inspire, as well as a live music all weekend, art installations, en plein air artistic demonstrations, installation and performance artists and an Indigenous art and culture showcase. Family Friendly! Free to attend! Children’s crafts, activities and performers are part of the fun all weekend long. Experience the magic that will take place over 36 acres in the heart of Victoria’s Rockland neighborhood. Leave the car at home. Walk, bike or stroll to the event. SKAMpede Fest – July 12-14
SKAMpede Fest returns this Summer! The beloved outdoor live performing arts festival, which in the past has featured clowning, dance, music, and theatre, will be back along on Inner Harbour and Gorge Waterway from July 12 to 14. Patrons of the festival have the option of purchasing tickets to two tours on the Galloping Goose and Songhees Walkway. On the tours they will get to enjoy performances from both emerging and acclaimed professional theatre

Victoria’s Canada Day presented by City of Victoria – July 1
Victoria Inner Harbour’s first ever drone show and headliner DJ Shub, a Juno award-winning Indigenous artist, will be featured in the City of Victoria’s reimagined Canada Day on July 1. The big show will return to the Legislature lawns and Belleville Street.
“This July 1, bring your family and friends to Victoria’s spectacular waterfront for an exciting, inclusive Canada Day celebration!” invited Mayor Marianne Alto. “Taste your way around the world, dance the afternoon and night away with some of Canada’s most talented musicians, be taken on Indigenous and multicultural journeys through storytelling and cultural performances, and stay for the spectacular drone and fireworks finale that will light up the night sky. Come join the festivities with friends and neighbours, new and known!”
Hey Ocean, Mauvey, Posh Coat, Yvonne Kushe and the lək̓ ʷəŋən Traditional Dancers will be just some of the artists featured in a diverse showcase of powerful, live performances on the main stage. Large screens will reflect and celebrate diverse voices, from grassroots artists to cultural leaders.
An International Food Village on Belleville Street will provide an array of local food trucks offering a global feast. The Family Zone on the Legislature lawns will feature a variety of kid-friendly activities hosted by the Victoria Fire Department, Victoria Bug Zoo and the Royal British Columbia Museum. Vintage, Retro and Collectibles Show now at Commonwealth – August 5
A New Location for the spectacular Vintage, Retro & Collectible Show/Sale! (closer to Victoria, just off highway 17 by Royal Oak junction.)
This major event is a great mix of collectibles; everything from pre and post war jewelry, gold and silver coins, and paper collectibles like stamps and postcards. Toys: dinky cars,, meccano, mechanical and everything from stuffed to Star Wars! Tableware, paintings, and an amazing assortment of wonderful books. We are seeing more and more 50’s vintage clothes, bags, shoes and collectibles; furniture and art, lamps and ornaments. Exotic Thai and Japanese pieces and more local First Nations collectibles.

Applications are now open for the 2024 Ecostar Awards! Hosted by the non-profit Synergy Foundation, these awards celebrate Vancouver Island’s local champions of initiatives, projects, and innovations that contribute to a vibrant future in which our communities and environment both prosper.

Torque Masters Auto Extravaganza – August 4
The Torque Masters Car Club is hosting its annual Auto Extravaganza in Sidney Sunday August 4. This car show has become one of the most popular on the island due to its incredible location. Although open to all automotive classes the show primarily features Hot Rod Classics.
Expect a full weekend experience as Torque Masters continues their efforts to create a Weekend Destination Event. Saturday starts with a Poker Run which ends downtown on Third Street. A public street event, including a local band, is planned with Beacon’s Brewery and Small Gods. Car related movies will be playing at Star Cinema. Admission will be food or cash donations to the Lions Food Bank.
Sunday will include a Vendor Midway and entertainment by The Haven. Complementing the event Downtown businesses will offer unique shopping and dining experiences. The Peninsula Celebration Society will feature Completely Credence in Beacon Park at 2 pm to round off this Destination Weekend.
Symphony in the Summer Festival July 24 – August 3, 2024

Music fills the warm summer air once again as Victoria Symphony’s annual Symphony in the Summer Festival returns from July 24 – August 3, 2024. HarbourCats Into Home Stretch of 2024 Season
The Victoria HarbourCats are in the home stretch of their 2024 West Coast League season and as of July 25th, have just 12 games remaining, nine of which will be at Wilson’s Group Stadium in Victoria. On July 26-28 the Kamloops NorthPaws come to town for Kids Free Weekend. All kids 12 and under get in free at the gate! That is followed by games on July 30 to August 1st, when the Edmonton Riverhawks visit and then on August 5th to 7th, the seven-time defending Champion Corvallis Knights arrive to close out the season. August 5th is the last fireworks night of the year, while the 6th is Jersey Off Our Backs Night and the 7th is Fan Appreciation Night.
