Rheumatology Nurse

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Rheumatology clinic in Victoria, BC. You will work alongside two rheumatologists seeing patients during follow-up to provide patient care and support. Expected role includes but not limited to: - Briefly reviewing how patients have been since last visit (e.g. how their arthritis is) - Updating the electronic medical record (documenting new diagnoses or medical changes, updating medication list, entering labwork) - Patient education on rheumatology diagnoses and treatments - Patient training on subcutaneous injections - Administering SC and IM injections - Taking vaccine history and counseling about vaccines - Completing disease activity questionnaires - Helping with special authority forms for biologic medications Requirements: - Ability to work independently and collaboratively - Effective written and verbal communication - Efficiency using an electronic medical record system (Accuro experience an asset) - Prefer minimum 1-2 years previous clinical experience - Prior experience in rheumatology is an asset but not required; training provided Hours: Part time to full time, weekdays only Wage: Based on level of experience Extended health benefits are not provided
