Alpha Roofing & Cladding Inc. is a commercial roofing company serving the Greater Victoria and surrounding areas for over 25 years. We are looking for an Office Assistant to join our friendly and professional team at our sunny & spacious office in Central Saanich. This position requires an organized and personable individual. Ideally you have an understanding of basic accounting principles and some previous office experience. We are looking for someone who works well in a group and complete tasks independently. This dynamic role works with many individuals - management, team members and clients. Previous customer service experience is an asset. Duties & Responsibilities include reception for the office and management team. Managing emails and the company calendar. Accounts payable & data entry. Assisting with special events. Maintaining the filing system. Ordering office supplies and other ad hoc tasks as needed. Required skills: High school diploma or equivalent. Microsoft Office including Word, Excel & Outlook. Strong proofreading and editing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines. Able to lift and carry materials for the office (up to 20 lbs.) Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4 pm. Excellent benefits available after 3-month trial period.
