This jacket is packable in it's own pocket, and is a nice warm emergency layer in our climate, as well as a decent everyday jacket with hood for chilly weather. It is a polyester fill that is very down-like, but will stay warm if damp unlike real down, and is washable. We often carried it in a backpack for an emergency layer while skiing. It has zip hand pockets and an elastic drawstring at the bottom hem. It is in very good shape except for a small slice to the lining only on the right chest (you can see where some tape is in the 3rd photo). Should be repairable and won't show. It's great under a lightweight shell for hiking or backpacking. Quality North Face stuff. Our kid wore it from about age 11-13, and have sadly outgrown it.
