I am looking for someone who can help tune my current setup in my 1949 Chevy truck. (i will pay you) Ideally, you are experienced with carbs enough to watch / listen / feel, then know exactly the next steps in tuning. I'm not new to carbs, but I've always struggled with that last 5% of tuning. It starts great (both cold and warm), runs and drives, but i can tell it's not spot on. The truck has a healthy 261 inline 6 (150PSI in all 6) and a motocraft 2150 2 barrel carb on it. It also has a TH350 with adapter plate, so timing it is by feel/vacuum as the OG flexplate is covered by the adapter plate. few things: * carb is rebuilt (by me with ethanol friendly kit from Mike carbs in WA) * I have fuel pressure gauge after an electric FP and FPR (3.5PSI at carb) * I have manifold vacuum gauge (getting close to 20 inches of mercury on the vacuum, so it's close) * i have drill bits for jets (which i recently downsized as i was running crazy rich) * i did all the work myself and have all the tools needed. If this is something you'd be interested in - please email me.
