Have you always wanted a camper van but don't want the associated maintenance or expense? That's why the E-Camper was made. It's a pop-top addition to a Honda Element, which results in an economical, reliable Honda, but with sleeping quarters up top! Unfortunately for us though, we have to let it go. Our family is growing (the top isn't great for infants!), and a return to school for one of us means downsizing to one car. This full package includes a custom kitchen table which fits between the open front and back doors, a hand-made center console which fits GSI mugs, Nalgenes, or regular to go cups, a fitted "box" which provides hidden storage while still allowing one of the two rear seats to be installed (good for concealing your gear, or just for organization), and a collapsible ladder which is useful for accessing the top from outside the vehicle. We've replaced the sleeping pad foam with better quality stuff, and have kept them stored indoors. The pop top has also been modified a bit: the roof now opens higher (the same as the current production models), which makes the upstairs much more livable. Mechanically speaking, the Element is in excellent condition. A mechanical inspection was performed by Honda in Duncan, and all deficiencies have been addressed (starter, serpentine belt, brake light, front rotors). - New windshield - New battery - New starter - New rear brakes, rotors and pads - Fresh transmission and rear differential fluid - Fresh engine oil change - Fresh engine and cabin air filters - New front brake rotors - Front control arm and rear sway bar bushings changed within ~20 000km, as were the rear struts (shocks and springs), spark plugs, and valve lash - Every other component appears in good shape, with nothing to replace soon except perhaps front sway bar bushings - Soundproofing/rockproofing added to all four wheel wells - This vehicle has always been a Vancouver Island car and has no rust - Dealer-maintained by the previous owner and maintained by me after purchase with Honda parts - Comes with a set of 4 Michelin X-Ice tires on rims, so new they still have the factory marks on the tread of the two rear ones! - All season tires on stock alloy wheels at 4-5/32 tread depth
