We're looking for a great fit, which mainly means responsible, respectful, great communication, & integrity. Our home is located on a quiet street near Tillicum & Carey. Centrally located so close to a lot, & easy to get anywhere in the city. It’s a corner house w/ a yard (not fenced, but surrounded by hedges, so relatively enclosed & private). The suite is an unfurnished basement 2 bedroom & 1 bathroom suite. *The suite could be considered to be a 1 bed + den since the 2nd bedroom is a bit smaller & does not have a built-in closet (but it does have a big window & enough room for a bed + more). Big windows let in lots of natural light into the living room & 2nd bedroom / den. Approx. 1,000 sqft of living space. The bathroom is a 3 piece bath (walk-in shower, sink & toilet) with modern finishes. Kitchen includes fridge/freezer, large oven, 4-piece stove, microwave, large double sink, & decent counter + cabinet space. The main bedroom is quite big (easily fitting a queen or even king size bed + other things like a nightstand, dressers, &/or desk etc.) with a medium window & a decently sized built-in closet. The 2nd bedroom / den is a bit smaller & does not have a built-in closet, but it does have a very large window so lots of natural light, & there’s still enough space to fit a queen size bed + nightstand & dresser, maybe more - making it a great area for an office, or even a bedroom (which it has been used as before). The living room is very big w/ plenty of room for furniture like couches, chairs, coffee table, TV, shelves, work desk & more. There’s a nice separate spot to put a dining table for a dining nook too. Some extra private storage space dedicated solely to the suite is available under the stairs in a walk-in cold/dry closet, & a bit of extra storage space is also available in the shared garage as well. Laundry is included w/ a washer and dryer in-suite/on-site in the garage (the garage is a shared common space, but privately accessible, and we only enter the garage once in a while, so you'd have your own private laundry to yourself as upstairs has its own laundry). Lots of free street parking on 2 quiet streets surrounding the property. Outside there is a decently large shared backyard w/ some grassy areas + some gardening boxes for anyone who likes gardening. There is also a lovely private patio area dedicated just for the suite too! The cost of renting the suite is $2,000/m for 1 person, or $2,100/m for 2 people, or $2,200/m for 3 people. This includes ALL utilities, & wifi, plus free parking on 2 quiet streets, so you know exactly what you’re paying each month. Up to 2 pets - dogs &/or cats - allowed upon approval. We’re looking for a 1 year lease that will then become month to month. We’re hoping to find someone who has some parallels in lifestyle & schedule as our family to create a positive experience for everyone involved. We’re looking for long term tenants who can enjoy sharing this lovely home & property with us. We're a young family (a couple w/ a sweet baby girl). We’re both introverts, quiet, respectful, kind, easy going, & professional. We love quiet nights in, going for walks, board games, reading, & spending time w/ family. The space would be perfect for a quiet single professional, a couple, a pair of roommates, or possibly a couple w/ one child. We’re looking for max 2-3 occupants. It would be ideal for someone who does NOT party, smoke, or do drugs. Someone who works during the day & sleeps during the night, or who maybe works nights but outside of the home.
