Are you looking for a drought and deer tolerant shrub to plant on a slope or do you have an area that you just want to plant something that will eventually spread out to cut down on weeding? I have 3 of these shrubs available for $20 each in a 2 gallon pot size. Great in a Japanese garden. Chinese juniper is a hardy evergreen conifer that forms a delicate, lacy mound in the garden. Grows to about 2-3 feet tall and spreads to about 4-5 feet wide over a 10 year period. Great for difficult areas to weed or maintain. New growth emerges bright golden yellow and holds its color throughout the year. Older foliage takes on a dark green contrast, drawing attention to its bright new growth. Its graceful mounding habit creates a waterfall-like effect and looks lovely when combined with boulders and rockeries. It prefers full sun (5+ hours) and well-drained soils. It will tolerate clay and sandy conditions as long as drainage is adequate. Water regularly for the first two years. Once it is established, it should require no additional watering, even during summer. Have a look on my seller's list to see what over plants I have for sale.
