This is 36" in diameter lightweight and came out as memorbelia when the Alice Munroe unique $5 coin was issued in 2014 to pay specific tribute to her rich writing career as a renowned Canadian author Alice Munro has been Hailed as "the master of the contemporary short story", she won the 2013 Nobel Prize for literature, making her the first Canadian woman to win the award in that category. Known for her nuanced and subtle non-linear story-telling and for often setting her characters into Huron County landscapes, Munro is considered a Canadian literary treasure, supported by three-fold Governor General Awards.
