The SC-1527-K was designed with an eye toward custom-installed home theatre solutions, with features to match. Theatre function has 5 channels (3 front and 2 rears) all at 170watt. In addition there are 2 sub-woofer outlets for the total surround sound for home theatre. Multi-zone capability with support for Zone 2 & Zone 3 outputs allows you to watch movies or listen to music in 2-3 rooms at once complete with volume and balance controls. I've downsized and this receiver needs a home that will let it work to its potential.
