ATTENTION, PEN AND VEGAS MEMORABILIA COLLECTORS: The Castaways was a casino hotel on the Las Vegas strip. It closed in 1987, and the building was demolished to make way for the Mirage. I picked up these ball-point pens when I stayed there, which was no later than March of 1982. The clip on the red pen has some tiny pits which look to me to be factory defects, and a small amount of the printing has either rubbed off or was never there to begin. The blue pen still looks like new. The clickers still work but, as one might expect, the ink in both pens has dried. I think that this is due simply to their old age, as I am pretty sure that I've never used either of them (although the red pen might have been used by a previous guest). I collected unusual pens and pencils, and Vegas memorabilia, and these two have been on display in a china cabinet for the past four decades. From a smoke-free house; no smells or odours, guaranteed. Take either pen for the price shown. And check online for other sellers' asking prices for vintage pens like these from the Castaways and the Frontier! Pick up in Wascana View, SE area of Regina, SK.
