$650 · (REDUCED) UREI 525 active stereo crossover

Rare chance to own a sought after UREI 2 or 3 way stereo or 4 or 5 way mono active crossover in great shape. If you are reading this then you probably know that these units are highly sought after by audiophiles (especially in Japan) for their superb sound and ease of use. The pots are clean and as a major bonus, the original power filter capacitors have been changed out for Nichicon MUSE audiophile caps! All frequency ranges appear to work as do the internal tone generators and volume controls. A few binding post screws are missing, but the XLRs are all fine. All outputs are nice and quiet. It has been tested with a frequency generator and appears to work perfectly, although as with all vintage electronics, it is sold as is. If you are in to bi-amping, tri-amping, horn drivers, VOT speakers (voice of the theatre) this is the unit you need. It is stamped on the power transformer June 29 1982 and on the chassis July 27 1982. Good old UREI attention to detail!
