Meet Goose! This lovable shepherd is looking for a new home where he can continue to thrive and grow. Goose can be nervous of new people and is finding his current home has too many visitors for him to feel safe. While he will bark and alert to new people, he quickly warms up with treats and changes to ‘rub my tummy’ mode. He has been working with a Wild Ways Animal Training trainer who is assisting in the rehoming process. He will come with one free training session with his trainer to help set his new family up for success. Goose loves to play with other dogs, big or small, and currently lives with another dog and a cat. Goose loves to go for truck rides, he will always be in the driver seat when you return. He is very attentive to his people and will eagerly jump into your lap if the opportunity presents itself. Goose is smart and knows many words, he is very loyal to his family but can be barky when people pass the home or knock at the door. For this reason he would do best in a home with a yard rather than apartment style living. Goose is best suited to a suburban or rural environment given his nervousness around new people. We are looking for a home where Goose can continue to learn that strangers are not scary through positive reinforcement training. Goose has been incredibly receptive to training and would be a great candidate for regular training or dog sports to keep his brain sharp. Goose is a big softie, and we’re sure he’ll melt into your heart just like he has for us! Goose is a 2.5 year old German Shepherd. He is a neutered male that is microchipped and fully vaccinated and dewormed. Adoption fee is $400 and will include one free training session with his current trainer. Please contact Wild Ways Animal Training at wildwaysanimaltraining@gmail.com or 778 445 4315 if you are interested in Goose!
