I bought this beautiful acrylic pen holder at Sandy's Ltd. on the "big island" of Hawaii 45 years ago. The base of the holder is shaped like the island itself, and has many lovely shells embedded, along with some mini greenery. The price sticker is still on the underside. I used it for a few years and then put it away in a china cabinet. The black pen that came with the holder ran out of ink and I think that I probably threw it away - at least, I can't find it now. No chips or cracks. This item is in great condition with only a few very light surface scratches which are visible to me only on a very close inspection. The brass mechanism for the pen holder moves smoothly and is not loose. It has stood up well over the decades. Holder measures 4 5/8 inches long, along the top side.
