Shelter: BC SPCA - Victoria Animal ID: 487745 Birthdate: May 17, 2018 - Young Adult Spayed/Neutered: No Male Say hi to Hyena! Hyena has happily arrived at the Victoria branch and is eagerly awaiting his new home! Hyena is a sweet boy who has minimal experience with the outside world. This sweet fella likes to explore but is new to walking on leash and has never been exposed to things like traffic. So far he's done great in care, however he will need a patient guardian to keep building these skills. When on leash he has a tendency to melt into the ground or bolt if frightened, so being aware of potential scary surprises and having a handful of treats ready will help prevent this. Hyena is quite the cuddle bug, please don't tell him he isn't a lap dog, he doesn't know! His ideal home will include lots of laps to lay on both on the couch, the bed, and whenever you happen to be available for a snuggle. Happy Hyena loves his crate and would like to bring it home with him, if possible! He uses his crate as a safe place to go when scared and will stay there until ready to come out...or someones lap becomes available for cuddling. Hyena would benefit from a home with a yard to allow him a safe outdoor space to explore and practice his leash walking skills. If you think you have the space for this snugglebug, come visit Hyena from 12-5pm daily at the Victoria Branch of the BC SPCA, or get in touch with us by phone (250 388 7722) or email (victoria@spca.bc.ca)!
