This rare Sigma acoustic has been collecting dust in the closet for too many years and now needs a new loving home. This 1980 Sigma 10th Anniversary edition guitar is a beautiful, vintage instrument with great aged patina and robust tone. This is an all-solid guitar with a solid Spruce Top and matched Mahogany back and sides. It features enclosed Sigma tuning machines, Ebony bridge with decorative diamond style abalone inlay, a Rosewood fret-board with matching diamond abalone inlay with a special "Anniversary" abalone block inlay at the 20th fret. During this time period, Sigmas were C.F. Martin's off-shore brand and many of the parts were made by Martin in the United States. Only 100 of these special Anniversary edition guitars were sold and the magnificent feel, weight, and tone of these instruments is so good that it has been rumored that this special batch of guitars may actually have been made by Martin in the United States right alongside their D-18 counterparts; although this one is etched/stamped 'Made in Japan.' It has some of the smaller marks and dings expected of a 40 year-old instrument but here (that's just part of the charm) and is quite good cosmetically. The instrument does not come with a hard case and will need to be restrung as the strings have not been changed in over a decade. $600 OBO Read about it here: https://reverb.com/ca/item/1485866-1980-martin-sigma-d-10-anniversary-rare-grade-10-solid-spruce-lam-mahogany-dm-18-acoustic-guitar?locale=en-CA
