Sometimes referred to as the "J.B. Hutto" model, this Airline guitar ranks as the most sought-after Res-o-glass Airline thanks largely to its use by Jack White of the White Stripes. This guitar posses a crunchy, thumping tone that, coupled with a nice distortion pedal, serves itself well for any fan of grungy, underground tones. Airline guitars were manufactured by a company called Valco throughout the '50s and '60s. Guitars made of Res-o-glass - a type of fiberglass - like this model are the most collectible Airline guitars. Because of this guitar's unique nature, it is extremely light as well as being a distinctly eye-catching and charismatic instrument. Its design elements Bolt-on neck, block inlays, 2 single-coil pickup and 4 control knobs. The guitar is in good shape, as it is a vintage instrument, it does have a few dents and chips particularly near the tuning knobs. Your purchase includes a vintage carrying case, along with a red and white guitar strap that compliments the unique coloration pattern. I have a pretty firm asking price, though I'm willing to negotiate within some bounds of realistic expectation.
