This is a simple basic fibreglass canoe. I have had it for about 15-17 years, and it was old when I got it. It’s probably almost 40 years old. It has had numerous paintings, repairs and strengthening work done on it over the years. It is not pretty, and it is not light (probably around 85 lbs). But it certainly floats. I have had it out on local lakes every year for the past 8 years. Never had an issue. I replaced the old rotting end caps with mahogany ones. They are bolted on with stainless steel bolts, so they are never coming off. I’ll leave the bow and stern ropes attached. They are good for tying to the car. It’s ‘used’ enough that you won’t panic if you scratch it, but solid enough to be very safe. It’s good for local fishing or recreational paddling, without breaking your bank account.
