Offered for sale this, Inuit - Soapstone Carving - Man Holding Seal - Numbered, Signed & Dated. - 1983. This vintage carving is in fair condition, has a few small chips, with the largest being the tip of the hood, (shown in photos). The carving which features a young Inuit hunter, bent down on one knee, holding a seal. Measuring approximately 4.75 inches in height x 4.75 inches in width x 2 inches in depth, this vintage soapstone carving is clearly etched on the bottom, with the number B5-15204 and signed with Inuit syllabics, dated 1983 and still retains the Canada Eskimo Art label.
