This is the second note in the 1950 one rupee note series (A-2). Known as the Lion Capital Series, the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar image is used on these notes post independence from the British Empire. The Reserve Bank of India later introduced the Mahatma Ghandi Series. The note is signed by Governor K.G. Ambegaonkar. Condition is fair. Reverse shows floral design; watermark is the Ashoka Pillar.
