Offered for sale this antique solid brass rolling parallel ruler with original fitted timber box. The ruler circa 1890’s is incised / stamped and manufactured by the firm Flavelle & Roberts Ltd. Sydney & London. This scientific / architecture / drafting Instrument was used at the time in drafting plans for roads and other infrastructure. This antique ruler is in good condition given it’s age, the brass could and would polish up very nicely. The wooden fitted box, shows some minor cracks in the wood, consistent with and expected with age. The ruler measures 12.25 inches in length and the box measures 13.25 inches in length x 3 inches in width x 1.5 inches in height.
