The Tesla is an excellent 'all purpose' kayak : It has enough stowage capacity to support multi-week trips but is versatile enough for day paddles. Kevlar construction means it's lighter in weight but still tough. You'll appreciate the difference when carrying the kayak or loading it on the vehicle. This is an older boat which was in storage for 10+ years, unused, until recently. There are lots of small 'cosmetic' scuffs and scratches, so it's not in 'mint condition' but there are no repairs needed. Well-built Kevlar boats need to have thin gelcoat, so scuffs are more visible than in a heavy layup boat. Recent upgrades: Worn area at stern keel was repaired with epoxy/fiberglass/silica. Some scratches and small chips in the gelcoat were repaired. Deck and hull were cleaned and polished. Foam bulkheads were removed, as they had shrunk and come loose from the hull. Aft bulkhead was re-fitted and reinstalled. A new Ethafoam front bulkhead was made and installed. New safety perimeter deck lines.
