German Scheppach HMO-Solo jointer-planer. Why so cheap? It’s a project. Unfortunately it was stored in unheated storage and now has rust issues. Motor, clutch, and all work fine, but part of the jointer bed, and the planer bed, are quite rusty. The joiner bed (photos 1 and 2) would probably be useable with some light de-rusting; planer bed (not really visible in photos) has heavier rust. What can probably be done is a light de-rusting and a piece of laminate, or could be tackled with a more thoroughly de-rusting. Consumable parts (belts, replacement knives) still seem to be available on the internet. Specs are: 1 HP single phase 220V Jointing width 260mm (~10 1/8”) Planing width 250mm (~9 7/8”) Jointer table length 800mm (31 1/2”) Planer table length 430mm (17”) Price is slightly negotiable but don’t lowball too much; if I don’t get a reasonable offer, I’ll keep the motor and switch and scrap the rest. I’m trying to find a set of brand new planer knives (which seem to sell for about $100) that I’m pretty sure I have; if I find them, the price becomes less negotiable :-) You are welcome to come and look at it (by arrangement – email me first, please).
