Remember back in the day when we didn't have a pandemic and events actually took place? I think it's been a while since we've commemorated events with things like collectible coins. Maybe we'll do that again when events resume. On one hand, that would be cool. On the other hand, I really don't need an excuse to start collecting something new. Case in point, I've had these Calgary Stampede coins in my collection for as long as I can remember. My grandmother collected these when they were circulating in the 70's, and then she gave them to me when I was a kid. I haven't appreciated them in a long time, and my kid isn't going to want them, so it's time they find new homes with people who will appreciate them. If you know someone who lived in Calgary in the 70's, this might make a nice little Christmas gift for them. I have more listed, or to be listed, depending on when you're reading this. They will be cross posted. Pickup location is in Colwood near Dunsmuir Middle School.
