The problem is it communicates using the "ANT+" standard so it doesn't talk to Apple tv. Solution: the CABLE converter. Plus the Garmin 500 is a true GPS bike computer; it comes with mounting hardware for your bike so you can start recording the data from your real world rides, in addition to getting oceans of data (speed, cadence, distance, elevation gain, road % grade, etc.) in real time as you pedal. It has a new rechargeable battery installed and comes with USB charger and related hardware. CABLE is unused in its original packaging.
