Selling my 1983 Honda NightHawk 550SC This bike is a sweet combination of Honda engineering and aesthetic from the 80's. It sports a 571cc 4 cylinder DOHC 4 stroke engine making 75hp, self adjusting valves, and a drive shaft. Engine and drive train basically takes care of itself. No chain to grease or tension. Self adjustment protects engine from over revving and bending valves. Clutch is hydraulic, and transmission has 6 gears. Idles like a Harley, and revs like a CBR. Styling and comfort of a cruiser with the performance of a sport bike. Has some engine technology in it that was a precursor to V-TEC that kicks in around 8k-9k rpm, and has the power to weight ratio of a 458 Italia (~5.8lbs/hp). Super fun, fast, and nimble, bike to ride. Comfortable upright seating position and plush seat for cruising too. Cosmetically the bike is rough, but runs great and is mechanically and electronically sound. Right fork seal leaks, but doesnt get on brake rotor. Simple fix, and have the parts, just not the time. Only ever run 94 in it, so Carbs are still fairly clean. Comes with a built in emergency tool kit, custom leather seat and windshield installed. Will throw in some leather saddle bags and the service manual for the model if you ask nice. Price is obo. Please have cash in hand if you'd like to test ride.
