We love these old posters from the Royal BC Museum (before it was Royal, even!) advertising an exhibit about the Point Ellice Bridge Disaster of 1896. It was one of the worst accidents in Canadian Transit history, when a streetcar packed with 143 people crashed through Point Ellice Bridge into the Gorge, killing fifty-five men, women and children. I'm imagining the harrowing recounts of the accident prompted the warning against bringing your children to such an exhibit... I wonder if the same warning would be made today? Each poster measures 34" x 19.75" including the frame. The "Coming Attraction" slip is loose, and can be moved if you want to show a different part of the poster! Priced at $75 each.
