$10 · VINTAGE CHINESE POTTERY WINE BOTTLE

2 of the black bottles are now sold! I have 6 Chinese pottery wine bottles for purchase. They are $10 each. They are about 6.5 inches high and 4.5 inches in diameter (16.5 cm x 11.5 cm). I purchased these years ago from auction and the "story" is that these bottles are salvage from the harbour (which harbour, I don't know) and are antique (100 or more years old). These are utility vessels and the imbiber would drink the contents and then throw the bottle into the water, hence the chipped rims and other little defects. Whatever the story, they are decorative with interesting glazes. 3 are brown and 3 are black. One has an iridescent sheen to it.
