The Inside Sales Personnel provides product and service information both on the telephone and in person. He/she is also responsible to resolve product and service problems. This position also requires some basic accounting responsibilities. Job Duties and Responsibilities * Receives requests and respond to inquiries from customers * Provides price and delivers quotations, technical assistance and source material to customers * Assists customers with surface choices * Provides exceptional customer service in a professional manner * Maintains relationships with existing and new customers * Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services. * Maintains literature and samples, keeping showroom stocked with product. * Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution. * Takes payments, processes adjustments and maintains customer financial accounts * Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs. * Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information. * Maintains quality service by following organizational standards. * Checks inventory for product availability, providing delivery dates to customers and verifying prices. * Assists in day to day administration duties such as: stock entry, transfers, organizing samples, general housekeeping, vendor and freight claims, etc as required. * Contributes to team effort and completes other duties as required or assigned.
