Optician/Optometric Assistant

We are looking for a full-time optician and/or optometric assistant to join our team in Sooke, BC. We are looking for an outgoing personality who is service oriented. We work hard to provide our patients with a premium eye care experience beginning from the comprehensive eye health examination through to personalized eye wear selection. Job responsibilities: * Exceeding customer's expectation by creating a positive experience during their visit at the office * Dispense, adjust, repair, and trouble shoot eyeglasses * Advise customers through the process of finding the perfect pair of glasses * Conduct final quality assurance inspections in-office to ensure that the product we deliver meet the required specifications * Perform daily administrative duties, including, but not limited to, booking appointments, answering the phone. * Ensure professional and friendly interactions with patients, staff and internal and external customers. Requirements: * You have a flexible schedule with the ability to work evening and Saturday * You have previous optical, professional experience and mature approach to customer service * You have great manual dexterity and attention to detail * You are proficient in the use of ophthalmic instruments such as, adjustment tools, lensometer (manual and automated), lens trial sets, and low vision aids * You have excellent communication skills and great problem-solving skills All application are welcome, but only those who meet the requirements will be contacted.
