THE ROLE The Care Coordinator will have an integral role in caring for the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual care needs of the residents. They also encompass leadership of the health care team, liaison with other health care professionals, communication with resident's families, and representation of the facility within the larger community. The Care Coordinator functions as the lead MDS/RAI for the Lodge. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Graduate of a recognized licensed practical nursing program; holds current, full license with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) * Experience in the field of geriatrics, experience in a Residential Care setting preferred. * Experience in a team leader role preferred. * Knowledge of MDS/RAI * Current First Aide Certification * Basic knowledge of governing legislation and regulations.
