The 'Saltiest' boat in the bay - the Nimble 30 is a semi-custom canoe stern yawl designed by Ted Brewer for ease of sailing, visual charm and pride of ownership. The moderate beam carried well into both ends; a state-of-the-art elliptical centerboard draws 3'3" when the board is up and 5'4" when it's down & a balanced rudder on a partial skeg. Built in 1990, Pondera has several modifications: a layer of Kevlar in the hull and an extra 200 pounds of lead added to the keel. She'll out sail a Catalina 30 and stand up to a blow when most boats make a run for home.
