$2,100 - Upgraded 1984 Klipsch Heresy with stands and cables

For your consideration one pair of upgraded 1984 Klipsch Heresy. The cabinets are Walnut veneer, sanded with 0000 steel wool, cleaned with Howards Restore, and finished with Bees Wax. There are two small imperfections in the veneer on one speaker, see the photos, they are not distracting from listening position. The grills and badges are original and in excellent condition. The upgrades followed the Klipsch Forum, now in AudioKarma (Klipsch Korner section) recipe for a Super Heresy with further upgrades on that recipe; 1) The original K-77 tweeter was replaced with a B&C DE120. The horn lens was upgraded to a one piece all aluminum CNC cut by DaveA of Klipsch forum or DaveinTn on AudioKarma. 2) The K-53-K and K-701 horn were retained the K-701 was wrapped in felt, to reduce any resonance. 3) The original K-22 woofer was replaced with a B&C 12CL76. 4) The cabinet internal seams were sealed, walls lined with neoprene and filled with egg crate foam. 5) A new back panel was made in order to accommodate the required 4-inch flared port. Five way gold plated binding posts were added and the panel is sealed to the back ledge using neoprene. 6) The original E-2 crossover was replaced with an ALK Engineering CSW Universal crossover which was further upgraded with better Jantzen capacitors and the Low Frequency circuit was upgraded for a 2nd order with the addition of Jantzen 2 x 39 mF capacitors and an additional Erse inductor. 7) All new wiring, including silver plated mil-spec copper cable terminated with Furutech gold plated forks and WBT spades for binding post connection, 12 awg all copper for woofer and tweeter. I’ve heard Klipsch Heresy III and these speakers are simply better. Heresy IV model is likely the closest although I’ve not heard them and they retail for $4,000. Cash or EMT, local deal $2,100 stands included and a pair of 8ft., braided speaker cables with banana plugs… added value of $250. Demo available to serious, cash in hand, buyer.
