It’s easy to use without removing the lid, there are arrow indicators marked on the lid for opening and closing. Nice chrome finish, no dents, scrapes, smells or stains! Pours really well without dripping! I did a “heat retention” test in it, putting boiling water (200F) water in it, After 7 hours 161F After 12 hours 139F According to the web “the preferred drinking temperature of coffee is specified in the literature as 120-140”. So even after 12 hours it is at the high end of the recommended drinking temperature. Stays hot longer than you need it to likely! Cold liquids would stay colder for a much longer period .
