About the Red Lion Inn & Suites: 3366 Douglas St, Victoria, BC V8Z 3L3 Red Lion Inn and Suites was formed in 1998 and has operated for 20 years. Its business includes hotel rooms (100 rooms), a Liquor Store, a lounge and a pub with food service. One onsite Chinese restaurant was sub-leased by third party in 2014. Title of the position: Room Attendant / Light Duty Cleaner Job Type: 30-35h/week Job Duties: * Clean guest rooms, storage areas and corridors as allocated, achieving standards of cleanliness and presentation * Clean rooms as per the checklists * Ensure guest supplies and advertising material in bedrooms and bathrooms are replenished, achieving the correct standards for the room type * Report and log any lost and found items * Clean equipment with care reporting any defective equipment * Carry out deep cleaning duties * Make beds using sheets and following hotel procedures, replacing duvet, dirty mattress pads as needed * Ensure all tidy ups of assigned rooms are completed before the end of shift * Provide guests with basic information on facilities * Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items * Reports any unusual or suspicious persons/activities happening in the area of security to the manager Skills Requirements: * No education or experience required, we will train one on one * Ability to follow instruction * Good communication skills in English, understand verbally and to engage simple conversation * Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times * Professional appearance and manners * Must have time-management skills Terms of employment: Shift, Day or TBD Language of work: English Wage: Start from $15.00/h based on experience Location of work: Victoria, BC Contact information: Email: victoriahoteljobs@gmail.com Please sent your resume to this email, do not call.
