WANTED: Long-term Victoria home

Hi! My husband Chad and I, (Heather) are looking for a new home for ourselves and our very fluffy, timid, and well-behaved cat, Mandy Patinkin. We both work in the arts, (we run a non-profit theatre company that focuses on providing opportunities for emerging artists), but Chad's 9-5 keeps him busy with the Federal Government. We've lived in our current apartment here in Victoria for over 3 years and prior to that lived in Reykjavik briefly while Chad finished his Masters in Old Norse at the University of Iceland and I worked as the Assistant Director for the Icelandic Opera's production of Eugene Onegin and contributed to their education outreach program. We're looking for a 2 bedroom or possibly 1 bedroom + den/office in Victoria in the Cook St. Village, Fairfield/Rockland, Fernwood, or downtown area, but we're willing to go further out for the right place. With the need to work from home for the foreseeable future it's become pretty apparent that it's time for more space. Budget is a concern for the moment with the arts industry being shuttered, so ideally we're looking for something in the $1400 - $1500 range.
