WANTED: Expressions of Interest in Guitar-Making

Funston Guitars is seeking indications of interest from anyone who has dreamed of building their own hand-crafted guitar. Bernard Funston, a luthier with 20 years of experience, will be offering guitar-making courses in Sidney, BC in the near future. All high-quality guitar woods materials and tools will be included, along with individual instruction and demonstrations of building techniques. Participants can choose to build a classical, steel string acoustic or electric guitar which they will take home at the end of the course. Instruction will include all stages of guitar-making from the selection of woods to the final finishing. Each course session will run for 8 weeks and will be limited to a small number (2 to 4) of dedicated individuals who can commit to full-time daily attendance (i.e Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm). Course sessions for 2020 have been tentatively scheduled for: * 01 March to 24 April 2020 * 04 May to 26 June 2020 * 06 July to 28 August 2020 * 05 October to 27 November 2020 The course fee of $5,500 includes all guitar materials, use of all shop tools, a high-quality guitar case, instruction and lunches during the course.
