We're a Vic West family looking for a caregiver for our 2 year old starting mid April 2020. Ideally, this isn't "just a job" for you. We're looking for someone who will be a great fit with our family, preferably willing to commit to at least 5 months. Stay at home Mums bringing your own little person will be considered. POSITION Coordinating day-to-day activities of meals, walks, naps, diapering and play time! We value outdoor play/ adventure as much as possible, in addition to attending social and learning activities at the local community centre/library. Do you enjoy reading, art, dancing and music? Do you have awesome play ideas? Bring your creativity! **No screen time** WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? *Quality of person is far more important than credentials* A childcare provider with the following attributes / qualifications may be a good fit: -A genuine love for children and is keen to see them thrive in discovering their world -Conscientious, honest, reliable, cheerful, patient -Someone who values continuous learning -At least 2 excellent references -Good physical condition for safely lifting toddler & manoeuvring gear -Valid First Aid (or be willing to obtain this before starting) -Clean criminal record check -No substance use of any kind (tobacco, cannabis etc); this is a health & safety sensitive position -Comfortable and confident spending time outside (e.g. in parks, going for walks, coming up with / setting up activities outside in our garden in all kinds of weather). -Legally able to work in Canada Bonus: BC License ITE or ECE; French speaking OFFER: -Ideal times would be 3 or 4 mornings in a row, e.g. 8:00-1:00pm MOND, TUESD, WED (and possibly THURSD).
