THE SIGN PAD / Expanding - Graphic Designer (Immediate Opening)

SUMMARY: The Sign Pad, Victoria's premier sign shop is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer. This position is responsible for the design of all types of signage, graphics, vehicle wrap designs, preparing files for production, and dealing with customers in a courteous and professional manner. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ● Design and create all types of signs ● Effectively communicate design concepts to clients ● Preparing files for production ● Maintain accurate, orderly computer files and customer records SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS ● Advanced knowledge/experience using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop ● PC Proficient ● Excellent communication and customer service skills ● Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment ● Ability to multitask, be resourceful, prioritize workload, manage time effectively and adapt to changing situations and deadlines ● Problem solving,and an attention to detail are critical ● Excellent spelling and grammar, verbal and basic math skills ● Have a sense of responsibility and ownership towards the job ● Willingness to learn and improve skills ● Natural sense of good layout combined with hands-on experience ● Knowledge and working experience with different medias (banner, vinyl, laminates, etc.) ● Knowledge of wide format digital printer and vinyl cutting equipment ● Knowledge of print production ● Self-starter, results-driven individual with an energetic, positive can-do attitude ● SIGN SHOP EXPERIENCE A BONUS The ideal candidate will have experience working in a sign shop but we are willing train the right person.
