We will go over everything you need to know to make a professional looking swimwear, including: Choosing the correct size. Getting to know the basics of swimwear and swim lining fabrics. Professional finishes. When to use which stitch for the best results. Options for different swim suit straps. Style and pattern changes to use in your next make! Class fee includes: Two days of class time A kit including nylon swim tricot, lining, elastic, and a printed pattern - the pattern can be Tara's self drafted pattern from Five of Hearts Studio (as seen in photos) or you can choose from one of our Jalie patterns: Jalie Tankini / Skirtini Gigi Bikini Diane Tank Swimsuit Use of machines and sergers (though we do encourage you to bring your own sewing machine) Attendance in both days are vital. Please note that this is a sewing-based class; while we will be touching on ways to achieve a proper fit - this is not specifically a fitting class and your pattern may need additional changes after the class for a more accurate fit. Prior sewing experience is required to take this class although swimwear making and/or sewing with knit fabric experience is not necessary. You MUST be comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine.
