Sign Fabricator/Installer

We are a locally-owned company specializing in sign production and vehicle graphics looking for an enthusiastic, competent person to join our fabrication team as a sign fabricator and installer. For us, having the right attitude and a strong work ethic is paramount. If you are the hands-on type with a mechanical aptitude, technically-oriented mind, and some basic general construction and carpentry skills, we would like to hear from you. In order to succeed and advance at Graphic FX, you must be a self-starter who is flexible and able to perform a variety of duties including occasionally working outdoors when the need arises. The ability to take precise measurements is also required, as is the use of a computer throughout the workday to enter labour times and materials used. Applicants would, be knowledgeable in the use of a variety of shop equipment such as the table saw, compound-mitre saw, drill press/hand drill, orbital sander, disk grinder, and hand tools, etc., since assisting with fabrication will also be a part of the regular duties of this position Qualifications: - A positive attitude, strong work ethic and respectful approach - Previous work experience in a manufacturing or trades-related setting - Competent in the use of power and hand tools - Comfortable with heights and be able to work on a ladder, lift or boom if required - Physically fit and able to lift at least 50lbs - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Reliable (expected to attend regularly and arrive on time each day) - Clean, presentable appearance - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Computer literate - BC driver's licence with an acceptable driver's abstract - Cell phone Benefit package after six months.
