SibShops Support Worker

Community Options for Children and Families in Victoria is looking for a casual part time support worker to assist in running SibShops groups for youth who have siblings with special needs. Job Description The SibShops Support Worker is responsible for assisting the group facilitator with organizing and running Sibshops for youth. The duties encompass assisting the group facilitator with organizing activities, preparing meals, and engaging youth in recreational activities. The role requires the ability to work with a team, relationship building, creativity, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a passion for community inclusion. Qualifications * 1 year experience in working with children and youth * Ability to work with a team * Excellent verbal communication skills * Clear criminal record check * Student in Child and Youth Care or related field is preferred Hours This is a casual position. Hours are 3:30- 7:30 pm alternating Wednesdays from January 2020- June 2020 for 10 sessions. There is an option to continue with the groups for further sessions. Remuneration $17.50 per hour
