If you are interested in this watch, I have a commited buyer at 1 pm today at full asking price. Your only option will be to beat the asking price and do it before 1 pm today. No I am not interested in trades. I am willing to take $650 as a quick sale and I doubt you will find one of these for under $1000 anywhere. Fair market value on a 3/4 watch like this is around $1500 but extreme rarity of the dial can easily double that. From the very last year of WW2, probably a pilot's watch, comes this Rolex Oyster, EXTREMELY RARE face, serial # shows it as 1945, 3/4 size Military issue with full sweeping second hand. Rolex Caliber 59 movement. OYSTER PATENT on crown. This dial model is so rare that I have not been able to find even 1 other example. What makes this one so rare is the full sweeping second hand because any examples available have a small second hand sub dial at 6 o'clock and the other extremely rare attribute is SHOCK RESISTANT at 6 o'clock rather than the second hand sub dial. The watch has a new crystal and it has a 48 hour manual wind that is working fine; the self wind mechanism does not appear to work, probably needs a clean. It has a "fixo-flex" silver tone band probably from the 1960's or 70's. The original band would have been a brown leather strap. RWC Ltd. Rolex Watch Company Ltd.
