We are looking for someone who is highly organized and detail oriented to take over our accounting / bookkeeping and manage many other internal processes. You'll also work closely with our COO to develop and improve our internal processes for things like: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Shareholder dividends, New Contractor Onboarding, and much more.
Must be super efficient and familiar with organizing GST for a startup. In addition to that, preparing our books for our CPA and taking every possible advantage to save our firm and accountant, time and money. It all starts with you!
-- Please familiarize yourself with Wave Accounting Software
-- Prepare our financial statements, i.e. income statement + balance sheet
-- Maintain up-to-date financial records
-- Reconcile invoices with financial transactions
-- Follow up with clients for late and unpaid invoices
-- Update financial forecasts
-- Coordinate onboarding for new contractors
-- Manage contractor reimbursements and employee benefits
-- Contribute to continuous improvement and roll-out of new processes
-- Hubspot CRM knowledge required. If unknown, we provide training.
-- Must be aware of every possible advantage for new start ups under Canadian Tax Law to help us grow.
-- Bachelor's Degree
-- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a staff accountant or bookkeeper
