Online Sales Customer Service Representative

Job Description: Gabriel Ross Inc. is a specialty furniture, home accessories, and lighting store in Victoria's Rock Bay District. Featuring many of the world's most internationally recognized names in mid-century and contemporary design, the company maintains a significant e-commerce presence in the both Canada and the US, as well as attracting discerning customers to its newly renovated 6,000 sq-ft showroom. We are looking for a permanent, full-time, experienced customer service representative to join our team, working out of our office in the Rock Bay district in Victoria, BC. The successful candidate will be organized, self-motivated, computer-savvy, and enjoy working with a team. Along with having the core skills, this role will have you work towards understanding our product lines and customer base. This position has great opportunity for lateral and vertical advancement for the right candidate. Required Skills, Abilities and Experience: -Minimum 3 years sales and customer service experience. -Strong document and spreadsheet skills such as MS Office Excel. -Proficiency with professional business language and writing. -Strong email management skills and attention to detail. -Be well organized and able to balance priorities. -Be self-motivated and willing to take on special projects. -Contribute to positive team atmosphere. Example of Responsibilities: -Responding to customer inquiries via telephone, email, online chat, and social media channels. -Processing online orders and following through with exemplary customer service. -Data entry within our integrated business management software. -Learning product lines to be able to suggest and promote alternate or complementary products. -Work with sales team to create efficiencies and improve on existing procedures.
