$55,000 · Office Manager with Payroll function

Randstad Victoria is now looking for an Office and Payroll manager for a well-established accounting firm in downtown Victoria! The ideal candidate will possess the following: * Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment and manage time effectively * Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) * Excellent typing and dicta-typing skills (min. 50-60 wpm) * Superior command of the English language * Professional and positive attitude * Attention to detail * Ability to take directions * Minimum of 5-10 years experience Your responsibilities may change from day-to-day but will include a variety of the following: * Payroll - Experience with Sage/Simply a must - experience with reduced work schedules, overtime calculations and strong knowledge of the Employment Standards Act as it relates to payroll is an asset * AR/AP duties * Oversee all regular office expenses & requisitions - admin supplies, petty cash, furniture purchases, vendor contracts, social functions, * Oversee all IT & Software in conjunction with outside IT support * Oversee all admin staff for work flow - while this role will not require regular client related work, the admin skill sets of letter writing, proof reading, invoicing, memo drafting, calendar management etc must be strong so the candidate can help in a pinch, as well as review others work when required. * Admin Tax Season support - this is an area where the candidate will facilitate the work flow of the admin staff and co-op students in conjunction with the managers of the professional staff. This will also include assisting with client mail out packages, Share-Filing (secure file sharing system) items to clients for signature & appropriate documentation of such * Marketing related skills - maintaining website, facilitate the design of marketing materials, maintain company LinkedIn page, Yellow Pages & other ads * Facilitate annual insurance renewals including: professional liability, cyber insurance & commercial renters policy What they Offer: * $50-65 000 annually * Excellent benefits * Central location * Fitness allowance * RRSP Matching * Fantastic working environment
