Millwright - Plant Maintenance

Benson Cabinetry & Millwork is currently looking for an Experienced Millwright. At Benson Cabinetry & Millwork quality is the primary driver behind what we do. It doesn't matter if it's in the first contact with a new client, building the cabinets, or working alongside all our staff we aim to be the best there is. We are entering our 43rd year in business and it's due to our commitment to staff and quality of our product that we can confidently say our business will still be in operation in another 40 years from today. Our busy manufacturing plant is looking for a full time millwright to fulfill a maintenance schedule, as well as do on-the-spot repair when necessary on our 20+ machines. We have a mixture of brand new and older machines to be maintained. The successful person would preferably have a good working knowledge of CNC, Saws and Edge banders, but transferrable skills will be considered. The job requires appropriate use of lock-out/tag out and safe work procedures, and input will be solicited from the chosen candidate in both writing technical as well as safety-based policy going forward. The terms of this position are negotiable; both full time and part time work are options for the right candidate, and a flexible schedule can be discussed to accommodate fixes outside of manufacturing hours. The chosen candidate will work safely, and within our and WCB guidelines, will be able to stand for extended periods of time and have a demonstrated ability to lift from 10-50 lbs as required, but not ongoing. It should be noted that this is a position that requires the use of steel toed boots while on shift. We offer competitive wages, state of the art equipment and a comprehensive benefits package.
