MAIN TASKS o Identify current and prospective staffing requirements, prepare and post notices and advertisements, and collect and screen applications o Advise job applicants on employment requirements and on terms and conditions of employment o Review candidate inventories and contact potential applicants to arrange interviews and transfers, redeployment and placement of personnel o Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates o Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers o Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures o Organize and administer staff consultation and grievance procedures o Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process o Determine eligibility to entitlements, arrange staff training and provide information or services such as employee assistance, counselling and recognition programs o May supervise personnel clerks performing filing and record-keeping duties. o Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, salary scales and competency appraisal measures and systems REQUIREMENTS o Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, such as Psychology, Business administration, Industrial relations. o Previous experience in recruiting, training and human resources policies (at least 2 years).
